Stem Cell Therapy

Are there treatments better than stem cell therapy for injuries? Our regenerative cell therapy may be a better option. The cell therapy we use at our clinic utilizes treatments that contain natural growth factors, cytokines, proteins, and, in some cases, cellular tissue that assist your body's natural healing ability. These treatments are derived from young tissue rather than aged stem cells.

Before you try stem cell therapy as a treatment option, talk with us about regenerative medicine and find out why it may be a less painful and less invasive option. Call us now at 305-666-8883

Why Stem Cell Therapy?

TypesStem cells have the potential to transform into any kind of cell the body needs. Stem cells start out "undifferentiated" and then change into more specialized types of cells such as those that make up the body’s different organs, bones, muscles, cartilage, connective tissue, or any other type of body tissue.

The stem cells in our body act to repair and replace tissue when it is injured or otherwise damaged. But unfortunately, as we age, our stem cells age right along with us and lose a great deal of their vitality. We also have many fewer stem cells in our body's as we age.

When young tissue, including growth factors, cytokines, proteins, and stem cells, are introduced into an area of the body where tissue has been damaged, they provide enhancement to our natural healing processes.

Type of Stem Cells We Use

Wharton’s Jelly-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells

The regenerative treatments that contain stem cells we offer at our medical clinic use mesenchymal stem cells that are derived from Wharton’s jelly found in the umbilical cords of newborn babies. We source these stem cells from established tissue banks that operate under strict compliance with FDA and AATB regulations. The Wharton’s jelly is safely collected from carefully screened healthy donors at the time of pre-arranged cesarean delivery. The collection process is painless, causing no discomfort to the mother or baby.

Stem Cell Therapy Treatment Homestead, FLWhen young mesenchymal stem cells are injected into the patient’s damaged tissue (e.g., in the knee, shoulder, elbow, and more), they deliver a powerful boost to the body’s natural healing capacity. The vibrant new cells immediately begin to ease inflammation repair and rebuild the affected tissue.

We also offer amniotic fluid injections. Amniotic fluid is collected in a similar manner to Wharton’s jelly and can be as effective in regenerative healing in many cases.

Regenerative cell treatments containing mesenchymal stem cells are free from the drawbacks of some of the more common types of stem cell therapies.

Common Stem Cell Therapies

Bone Marrow Stem Cells

Bone marrow stem cells are extracted from a patient's femur or hipbone using a highly invasive drilling process. The procedure can be quite painful. There is a risk of infection as a result of drilling into the bone. Another drawback is that the stem cells are the age of the patient. Older stem cells may not be as proficient as young cells. As an illustration, think about how much more quickly young people heal from injury than do older people. This is due to the age and number of stem cells in the body at certain ages.

Adipose Tissue Stem Cells

Adipose tissue stem cells are easier to extract relative to bone marrow stem cells. They are obtained from the patient’s body fat under local anesthetic. They too are the age of the patient and thus may not be as effective as young cells. Also, fat tissue is known to store toxins, which may introduce additional risks.

Cell Regeneration

Regenerative cellular tissue can treat virtually any condition involving tissue damage. Patients have experienced excellent results for many conditions. They include back pain related to discs and other causes, sciatica, neck pain, knee pain, shoulder pain, elbow pain, hip pain, joint pain, damaged cartilage, torn ligaments, plantar fasciitis, bone issues, and more.
